has anyone twin rasp bars on the 22 inch rotor like the 17 inch rotors or are all single on the 22 inch rotor if why is that i would have thought a doble rasp bar would be better in the wheat for better thrashing

Asked that right away when we got our 1st CR970. It is an option, but we sure have never needed it. Might be better in wet slugs (more inertia from the extra weight to power through).

We never even think about it -usually just put in a concave cover in the 1st section and away we go.

Our first units never had the trailing rub bar but the last few years we have put them in all our units. It seems to trash better but it is not a night and day difference. We also put the pegs in, helps get the remaining grain out of tough straw.

We have combined a lot of flax with them and have not had any issues with the pegs. Did lose one of the trailing rub bars last year in snow downed flax tho
