on our 23's the ac light would come on usually later on in the day and just keep on lighting up even though there was lots of Freon in the system . I had tried overcharging and it would still come 0n so all I did was take the tool box out from under the jump seat and unplug the low pressure switch that is on the ac line under there . once unplugged the light never comes on and it doesent quit working -- who cares if the pressure drops a bit on the suction side -- would be a different story on the high pressure side and that pressure switch is in the engine bay .
