Sounds about right. I normally put the snap ring on first then slide it through and put the bolt in and tighten it up.
2366 fan drive
I had to replace the 2 bearings in my fan drive. There is a groove for a snap ring on the shaft and I can not get the groove to come out far enough to get the snap ring on without loosening the bolt on the end of the shaft next to the auger bed.
Is this normal? Do I put the snap ring on and then tighten the bolt?

put snap ring on and tighten bolt warps snap ring this is normal, scott.
