how fast you think we can go in 150 bu. average corn with a 6 row 30 head? and how big of difference would an 8 row make?

thanks

You'll be over 5 MPH, especially if you're in dry corn. I have a neighbor that ran a 6 row head on a 2388 for a few years, and it was hard to keep the machine full. He went to an 8 row last year.

I would say that you can drive as fast as the head will cut it off!
We run a 8 row on our 2366 and can run about 4 in 150 bushel corn when it is good and dry.

Oh yea, you can go as fast as the header will let you. Run 8 row on our 2388's and in 200 bu. we can run 4.5 to 5 pretty easy.

If you stand the sieves up and haul #@@, keep rotor as slow as you can so it won't crack you will be alright.
