Anyone had the frame above the front axle crack? Know why it would continue to do this? 1999 2388 w/20.8x42 duals. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Only ever seen one crack but it had axle extensions, I have a 1480 with extensions, it has an extra plate between the axle and the fan, and gussets in the corners under the auger bed. I would like to see a picture of your crack because my 1480 would be very similar to you're machine, also what size header are you carrying and do you have bin extensions?

Pretty common for these machines. Especially with big tops. Just brace and weld up and then keep an eye on it.

very common, simply structurally not strong enough in that area, no different tot he rear axle/chassi.
check under the front axle you will find cracks there too, if you have duals on you will be putting extra strain on the area as duals are usually wider
