Our 2388 decided the header height wanted to quit overnight. In HT when you hit the lower button for it to drop the header will just flinch and it shows that its down and has the double arrows in the display in the cab. If you hold the button it will go down but if you tap the down button to engage the auto height it just raises back up on its own. So far we have replaced the feeder pot on the left side and the brain box, done many recals, and checked many wires. This is while using it on a 1063 with headsight insight. We put the 1020 on and had the same problems. The headsight is showing no errors and we have been running it on manual. Tonight I kept trying it occasionally and sometimes it would show the double arrows the next time it wont and it will flash HDR S1.

My guess is you have a "poor connection" or broken or grounded wire between the 3 pin grey HHC plug and the controller on your combine. check the harness on the feeder, the connection at the back of the feeder, and the harness where it goes over the rotor cage. This can be pretty hard to find at times. You may need to check for continuity both from end to end and to ground on those wires. The fact that both heads do the same strongly indicates a combine problem.

If this doesn't find your problem, Please call us at Headsight, ask for Jeff.
