I have a 2388 but currently run only a 6 row Geringhoff RotaDisc. I've had the best rotor performance when the rotor is run slow and full, but it can be hard to keep the rotor full in dryland corn without shifting to 2nd gear. But in 2nd gear its more difficult to control speed on my rolling hills. It pulls way down going uphill, and speeds up on the downhill.
Is there any way to modify, or adjust the hydro to give me an extra .3 - .5 mph in 1st gear?
I will probably switch to an 8 row head in the next couple of years, but I've got to make this work for now.
