2388 Vertical unload auger

Took out the vertical unload auger in a 1660 a couple times and took it out the top. On my 2388, is it easier to go out the top or down thru the bottom? Any other tricks other than watch for timing of horizontal? Am going to put on plastic flighting. I also need to replace the outside tube on the horizontal unloading. Any after markets better than others? Thanks.

Lundell plastics make plastic flighting. "In theory" they are lighter and have less drag than steel and last longer. Made of high density plastic for long wearing. Just tell them if right or left flighting, distance between pitches, and diameter of shaft. They send bolts with to attach. Used on another auger and long lasting.
