I just replaced the outer horizontal unloading tube on my 1688. I got it from Shoup's I believe. (Ordered too many parts this winter to remember where they all came from) It was about 60% the cost and it had double tube out past the saddle for extra strength. I didn't see an OEM one to see if they have updated theirs for strength.
2388 Vertical unload auger
Took out the vertical unload auger in a 1660 a couple times and took it out the top. On my 2388, is it easier to go out the top or down thru the bottom? Any other tricks other than watch for timing of horizontal? Am going to put on plastic flighting. I also need to replace the outside tube on the horizontal unloading. Any after markets better than others? Thanks.
