Hey Jason,

Yup its mounted, hosed plumbed, hoppers replaced............Hydraulic hoses are comming.

Not a bad job to do, if ya have a welder laying around, and a guy who knows how to use one
.

I'd post pics here, but am to stubborn to learn how........If it was as easy as NewAgTalk, that would be nice.....hint, hint

Quite frustrating getting all the parts. We paid for the complete setup back in July. They did not want to store any of the parts so they shipped em out ASAP. Opened all the crates in January........Had no blower fan, no metal hose stands, wrong hose size, and wrong distributors. So we hurried up to get the hoppers mounted........Wait........Hurry to get the hose on.....wait for parts. Hurry to get the fan on....wait for parts. This job took 3 times amount of time due to dealer.
I learned that the only way to get the 40 bu hoppers was to order a planter that way and strip it off.....Arnolds did not care to do this.......I don't blame them. 60 bu is still 15 bu more than we use to be able to hold.
Now the issue is if the kitty will be able to handle all the flow. 42 gallons might not be enough. I personally beleive EVERY new tractor sold over 200hp should have over 50 gpm like New Holland offered so many years ago. It was a $1500 option in 1998.........

Maybe we ought to head down your way? How is the new red group treating you?

Happy with them so far. Only have 2 red pieces of equipment so don't do a whole lot of business their. Planter was the only new red thing from them. Bought the red combine from cat. One thing on parts they have a daily route in season so if it's something you can wait for the next day at least don't have to drive 25 miles to marshall to get it. They drop off in Wood Lake, not sure if they head up your way or not. Also have 2 mechanics that live in Wood Lake work their, so could have parts brought by them also. If I need to stock up on filters, belts or things that I know will probably wear out parts I get them from Schoffmans, In august they have 15% off on in stock parts. I think they do something like that in the spring but never paid attention before. I guess with the red planter I'll have to watch closer.

I have a cat brochure on the mt 700 series I see max flow is at 43.5. I think the mx you can get a 58 gpm pump, and John Deere you can get a 60 gpm pump. Doesn't say on the cat if you can get a bigger pump or not

Yup its official. Our guy came back from Arizona with the news............

Should be interesting to see what the bar looks like.......If they put central fill........markers. Guess we wont have to make our own planters anymore. Well I guess the 22" row boys here still will.
Around here red was almost extinct in the planter business thanks to suger beets, the 1200 series has resurected red.
