Bought a new 2588 last winter. Had put one hour on this fall and the auxillary pump shaft broke.According to Case IH this has never happened before. Then had about 50 hours on it and had the chopper shaft break out where it is welded into the end of the chopper. The closet chopper was in Australia. When our dealer asked Case IH reps if they have been having problems they said of course not. The dealer ended up taking one out of a new combine to keep us going which is what they also did with the auxillary pump. Then last week we had about 200 hours on it and the chopper broke again in the same place. This time our dealer had one on hand. Have heard stories of this happening to other 2588's as well. Was just wondering if anyone else had this happen too. Is Case IH starting to make their parts out of recycled pop cans or what. We have had Case IH combines ever since they started making them and have never had anything like this happen before. Our dealer said this is the same chopper they have been using for quite a while. Thanks
