Noticed yesterday that the feeder slats are closer to the feeder floor in the middle than on the outside. Could it be that the centre strand on the feeder chain is stretched more than the outside strands? If so, how can this be?
That's nothing to be concerned about. I can't recall looking at a three strand chain in a 88 series combine that wasn't like that. I always figured that there was more crop going up the middle than along the edges where the outside strands are.
