If you are running on the high side of the 2 speed hydro it will do that. It is designed to slow to the low side speed when hydro pressure passes the high side setting. TORQUE

We have a 2008 2588 with a 2052 39' draper on it that is used on low yielding wheat in Australia. We work it as fast as we can in 2nd gear around 15 km/h, when you start to pull up a rise the ground speed drops back to 10 to 12 km/h depends on how big the rise is and how full the grain bin is, the engine RPM hold and not running out of engine power as it is only 10 bushel wheat. Has any one seen this and is there a fix? The dealer has looked at it and cant find a fault with the hydrostatic system and adjusted pressures to rise spec machine.

isn't there also a shim kit available for the clutch pedal that can help if it starts bypassing bad, i think the bypass valve is the clutch pedal.

Farminflyboy, the dealer has shimed the clutch pedal, the machine is still in warrenty and case have giving the dealer more pressure test to do! Had a chat to the service manager today and I will give him a hand this week to do it.

When 2188 first were around here there was one neboure harvested all there crop in 3rd gear, very light crop, our 2588 is flat out moving in the feild in 3rd no way would it harvest in 3rd.
