Since we started straight cutting wheat we have found we are short on reel speed on our new 2588. The dealer tech has been out twice but can't seem to get it fixed. There is ample oil flow available because when he pushes the solenoid plunger manually the reel will really fly. He says either the solenoid is bad or the controller is not telling it to open up all the way. New solenoid would not fit so we are waiting. The problem is wheat that is leaning bad in one direction and we can't get enough reel speed to pull it back before the knife gets to it.

Any suggestions. We are running a 30' Honeybee but that really makes no difference.

Problem Fixed

Tech tried the new solenoid but no change. Then he installed a new controller(computer). The reel speed doubled. I cut a bit of wheat today and it worked great. The jumpiness in the RTC is gone also that problem with the header raising when you pushed the down button is gone.
