Just got our new 2588 and i noticed it didn't have the black metal bars going down the drapes in back.

The dealer has a 2588 sitting there with them...

Talked to dealer and he can't find them in his computer.

Says there's an update comeing in oct for there computers with the newest stuff...will i have to wait till then to get the update

also does that keep the back tires from ripping off that fuller/better covers?

They lasted 6 days last year.... sure worked good just not once a tire gets it..

Those straps are not metal, but heavy poly. The part number is 87738710. Have your dealer go into ASIST under bulletins and installs and search under kit number 87479409. That will give you a complete listing of all the new parts and installation instructions. There may be more parts needed.

we just got a 2588 and the dealer built a metal frame for them, in addition to the poly ones. he thinks that this will solve the problem.
