Hi, how do I configure serial port on 2630 to receive nmea stream for section control? I've hooked up cable from paradyme to jd cable, and configured nmea in paradyme as book says, but it's not recognizing my gps feed

Have you modified the number of decimal places the Paradyme is outputting? I know the Trimble units need to have this dumbed down to 6 decimal places for the JD to read it. The instructions I have are old, but you used to go into "GS3" then "Memory" and "Assign Serial Port" and change the JD settings to Baud Rate 19.2K, 8N1, and set your external device (Paradyme) to output GSA, RMC & GGA messages. Most of the ones I've done using the JD to Serial cable need a Null Modem Adapter on the 9 pin cable as well.
Thanks, yeah I've got null modem adaptor in line, I'll try those settings tomorrow and see how I go.
