i bought a 1688 over the winter, my first experience with a rotor. cut some wheat, impressed so far. i have a dairy neighbor that approached me about selling some high moisture corn to be put in a bag. my machine has the specialty rotor, and also a wheat chafer in it right now that i know i will have to replace. ? is where is a good place to start on the setting and/or mods to do? and as far as the chafer, would you go with the long finger wide space or the short finger wide space? or a diff chafer all together. i will be also using it for soybeans. tia.
