Have a 8 row 3400 header on 8120. In dry corn header loss is way too much.
Tried everything I could think of last year, but never got loss under what I thought was acceptable. Any ideas?

What did you do? Deck plates adjustment, slow down the header? Is the angle of the header flat enough?

32/3400 series corn heads shell way too much. I had trouble last year with it feeding if there was any dampness on the stalks at all. Had much better luck with the 2200 series. Solved my problem with a Drago for this harvest.

Order and replace the deck plates with new Holland plates and john Deere 555 chains.. I did this two years ago..
But cptusa is right, get rid of it.. Dragon or gerhinhoff... You will never look back.

When you say slow down the header, do you slow the feeder speed or change the sprocket to slow down some part only?
