Hi im new to the forum. I was just wondering if anyone is running the 35 foot flex head on the 8010. My dad has one and he just loves the thing. He likes it way better than the 36 foot flew draper we ran last year. Just curious to see how many are out there.

Yes, we just took one out Monday to the new owners of an 8010 that had a MacDon 30 footer on their 2388. They were so impressed with the 35 footer that they went ahead and traded for it today. It is really working good so far.

No, the 35 footer we sold him is a new MacDon draper that they are just coming out with. They would never go back to an auger header! Maybe the original poster was refering to an auger head. Sorry!

yea i was talking the 35 foot auger head. i guess there was like only 30 made in the US and we got one. dont know if it was true. The draper sucked because the beans and wheat kept wrapping around the center belt.

Casefarmer, if I'm not mistaken the 2 drapers you are running are used, were they trade-in machines or was the prior owner(s) not happy with them?

Yeah they were used

the owner bought 3 new 36ft ers

I think he was running 2 8010's and got a 23 or an 80 for 3 combines

not sure why he traded for new ones but im glad he did now

News to me. But down here in bum #### Egypt we don't find out about to many things. I finally have 2 customers running 30 FT'S so I like to hear how it works on some uneven terrain, since thats what we have down here. Good luck and I hope I hear good things.

only dealer close is a deere dealer..... now you have to drive 45 min north or south for a case dealer (which isn't that bad....since they can fedex everything or will leave something out for us to pick up late at night or early in the morning
