im needing to change the roll pin for the high low selector in the transmission. I am having difficulties taking the top cover off
just wondering if anyone has done one of these before, or if someone has a repair manual?

These pages are from 3688 manual, will be same - I was too lazy to go to shop for 3588 manual!!

the book is close but is missing a few pieces that I have in my tractor if you could get your other book at some time thatd be great

3588 shifter is on left side, 3688 is on right side with separate park lever, did not mean to complicate things for you.

what roll pin are you changing??

I am thinking, you will need a new hi/lo shift shaft and top cover machined for brass bushings!!

sorry I meant the detent roller on the hi/lo shaft just in side. I cant seem to pull the cover up and off to take a look inside
