I have a buddy who has a 485. it's a 2001 but he says it has the twin rotors and I looked and it does. They also call it a wide body. Is there really any difference in the 485- that was changed to the 485R. I've heard that the wide body 485 similar to his is a notch over a 580/585 and under a 590/595. I don't know much about the yellow ones anyone care to enlighten me?? He said it was a beast in 12-row corn.

R series 480/485s have some updated 'comfort' features in the cab. They have a horsepower bump of 65hp with boost and you can get the variable speed rotor drive, besides that I'm not sure there is much in the way of differences.
