We took the triangle out today and took it to the machine shop to have 5" added to each side and 5" added to the top so we had more adjustment in and out to help get chaff onto spreaders. Does anyone have alot of noise from feeder chain? Dealer suggested running drum up in beans as we do in corn.

Started beans and had a trail but we realized the chopper was on slow speed. Put it on fast and it seemed fine but have only done a few acres. Not sure how this effected the chaff unless it was just more wind. Do you guys have a chopper?

have a chopper & it's on the high side
& the feader house chain is a lot noisier, wondered if it's because
of the spring tension moving back & forth

Our chopper was on the high side with the knives into the fine cut position. When we stopped we would leave a pile of pods between the axle and two spreaders. Have not gotten remaned triangle back yet. Our dealer thinks alot of our noise is coming from the spring tightener moving back and forth.

The chopper adjustment lever does not go high enough to completely engage the chopper knives and divert the material to the spreaders. I raised the lever above the knotches as far as it would go and the spread was much improved. Hope this helps.
