I was just wondering if the 5088 is the replacement for the 2588? I have done some looking and they seem to have a lot of the same components just different plastic panels. How long is it going to take before all of the heads are center point hookup? It seems that the 23,2588 are the only ones out there that out not center point.
i am pretty sure he used to be the 2366 man, not 2588 man..
Yep it was 2366man buddy!
A 5088 has 5 more HP than a 2188, the only difference between it and a 2588 is just the HP they are 290 peak HP, the 2588 is 320 HP? not sure on that. If you want something that is the same as your 2588 you will want a 6088. The only difference between the two is that the 6088 has a 1/2in wider rotor drive belt and it UN-loads .5 bushel a second faster, holds 50 more bushel of grain
and a little more HP than the 5088.
Tell me if this helps your welcome to PM if you want.
The machines a bit longer as well which is nice. U can get to the bottom sieves threw the side and reach in too see where there set at. I hated on the 2588's that u couldn't reach in and put ur fingers on the sieves
a freind of mine bought a 5088 and was not happy with he owned a 2366 before and went to 6088 and is very happy compared to the 5088 he harvested wheat with 5088 and traded back off for 6088. he did not feel the 5088 was any better than 2366 i don't know if this helps but good luck on what ever machine you end up buying.
