60 series reverser PIP

Just a reminder for everyone to get their reverser PIP done on the early 60 series. It is basically a return hose from the reverser to the hydraulic oil tank to drain away the oil that leaks past the little reversing cylinder. The PIP will run out by September. It is not mandatory. Therefore it will only get done when one asks for it.

Old thread I know, but does anyone know the part number of this fix?

I found out its MPH12744
How do i know if I have an early series?
instead of paying deere the couple hundred dollars they want for the parts for the pip, just buy a 5 dollar breather from bumper to bumper, drill a hole in the cover of the reverser valve, and tap it with a tap and die set. works fine.

I did that, but I found out it will drain the whole resivoir of oil through the winter. So I put a petcock like a radiator drain on it, and I close it in the winter.

But I would rather have a fix that is permanent so I have ordered the kit.
Checked into it for my sts. If it's older than 4 years old, Deere pays nothing.
