Oil pressure was running normal all day, then started to bounce around, normal to low shut down alarm. Checked oil level and was good, no blow by. Wiggled some wires, everything was normal for half a round, then got whacky again. Dicked with shut down and screwed with things again, everything normal for 2.5 hours. 5 acres left to go and it happens again, can't get it to stabilize. Dropped head and limped it home with normal oil pressure, no fluctuation the whole time. Thinking it is the oil pressure sensor, about 99% confident, but the 1% wins when thinking of a repair bill. Any ideas?

We have a 7088 that acted very similar. Cutting one day and was fine then went super low. We changed the oil pressure sending unit and worked fine for a day then dropped again. We were about 50 hours from an oil change so we decided to change oil. Never had an issue since. Yours sounds a little more like the sending unit but if not then may change oil.

Worked good today after new sensor. First day of the season oil had less than 10 hours on it. Hope all is well now.
