Tore the "ears" off of our JD 676 corn head for the drive to the left side wing. Was looking for some advice on how to get the one on the wing side off? Got the one off but can't seem to figure the other one out. I did take the snap ring off but can't see how it comes off. Thanks

It should just have a circlip and and the snap ring, once u take the circlip off it should all fall apart. Our circlip used to come off by itself and youd turn up to a new job with no dog clutch...It would all just fall out.

If I remember correctly it comes out with the bearing. I think it is retained on the back side of the bearing by a snap ring. Look at the new ones to double check.

attach a slide hammer to the tapped hole in the dog i think its a 10mm, bearing and shaft will come out. cut a 32 oz gatorade bottle to fit shaft for assembly helps center the shaft in the tube takes a little patience to get shaft back in the splines of the wing gearbox
