There is a 70 series John Deere Machine sitting at the Alva OK old walmart building on the south side of town. Anyone going give me a call so I can go see it as well I've only been told about it. Give me a call (785) 324-0698. It's being guarded by John Deere personel, but camera's do have zoom lenses.

What is up in the second picture? Looks like something hanging from the unload auger boot, but is on the front side of the flasher and the pickup?

It's the stairway to the buildings behind it. I had to take a second look also.

Re: 70 Series Machine Spotted Again (With Picture)

It seems to be a drop point for the harvesters and a storage local for their trailers etc.

The machine has been moved to the John Deere dealership in Alva out of prying eyes, but I have pictures and can be seen when I get them uploaded and the link out here. The outter shell is the same for the most part but under the shields is a different story and you can see the differences by the pictures that will be listed. People familiar with the inner workings will see the differences right away.

The cab is WAAAYYYYYYY different. The overhead instrument panel is different. The console is completely different as well. You can see the pictures.

still no improvements in the sieve area for hillsides. The chopper has veins on the sides like the new mav choppers. probably will have a 10% price increase with no real capacity increase

Quote:How can you tell the conveyer augers are gone? The belt that runs it is still there.

Pic #5

I have not been around a 60 series but that looks way different than what I remember on the 50's I was told they were going to a shaker pan instead of the augers.

Not a very professional one, though.

Pic # 30?

You DON'T take picture of yourself while on an operation!!!!

CNH Spy handbook, rule # 34. How many times do they have to tell you?

I do not see the shoe auger drive shaft or the gears. At All. They are usually located above the drive axle tube. By looking at the pic there is no shaft or gears! It is about time!

Also if you notice the shaker arm behind the right honeycomb shield there is an arm that reaches upward off the existing arm, perhaps to drive the shaker pan?

...We don't know what this 70 series has in it. I work for a JD dealer and have asked the JD TAM and if he knows this 70 series he is not telling. So wait until it comes out or maybe this one will not be the next series combine for John Deere...
