Looking to update 2388. Trying to decide between 7010 or 2588. I can buy a low houred used one of either for about the same money. Currently running 8 row corn head and 30 ft flex. Are there any current 7010 owners that wish they had stayed with the 2588?

The 7010 will out run a 2588 any day. I trade my 2388 in last summer and it was the best thing i did. I run a 2608 chopping head at 7.5mph in 175bu/ac corn last fall. The 7010 is a 3500bu/hr and the 2588 is only 2500bu/hr machine Don't forget how easy the 7010 can be adjusted on th go. I drove a test 7010 in southern Wis. with a 12 row in 225bu/ac at 5.5mph unloading on the go, it kept right up with the 04 8010

We updated our 2388 to a new 2588 this fall and it is a great machine. We also looked at 70 or 8010 series and decided to wait for a few more years because our local dealership does not have any currently out. We did not want to be the Guinea pigs for the service department! The dealership has now sold one of each so we'll see how they get along with them.

Lol casefarmer... won't be the last time a Case guy doesn't have all the facts right

If I remember correctly when we ordered our 7010 we looked at our 1083 to see if we could make it fit and it looked like a lot work. I think you would have to do a fair amount of welding and torching to make the opening big enough (the 70-8010 feederhouse openings are huge) and it would involve cutting through frame supports. Same thing on the 1020 head. Then you would have to get all the single point hookup stuff for the AHHC and hydraulics.

Didn't look like something we wanted to try. But we were NOT going to get a 2408 so we ended up getting a Geringhoff and we love it.
