Just got a 7010 and was wondering what others do as far as settings go for combining oil sunflowers. Book Says we need to put different grates in just wondering if this is correct. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
our 1st year we had a heck of a time with sunny's turns out we had the completely wrong concaves and grates.
Run 4 slotted concaves and 4 solid ones if you don't have those then run the fine wire instead works almost as good. It's all about keeping the sieves from being overloaded with mog. We run our vanes on the rotor cage in the fast position to get the material out of the rotor. As far as sieves we play with that all the time try the book and refine from there, the rotor is running slow in 1st gear. Hope this helps!!
hey westy what moisture are you combining your flowers at, also are you able to combine corn with the grate covers on as we switch from corn to sunflowers often especially in a year like this. I would like to vist with you. my email is [email protected]
