7010 combine we are working is no where near as reliable as 2388 rice machine 350 hours and seperator pan has given way new location of PTO pressure sender a joke finished up putting it same place as my06 8010 numerous o-ring failures and faulty paint finishes on plumbing and a top speed thats lethargic at best has anyone else found a way of getting the road speed somewhere respectable(Best we can get is 26km/h) Hyd pressures are all in range is it a case of
boosting pressures or changing gearsets like john deere do any elp appreciated

If you switch it on the go, does it being you to a stand still rather abruptly? It's just a story or rumor, but "I heard" a neighbor with new 8010s figured if you could switch the switch or turn the dial, it ment you could do it any time..........something about forehead and windshield?..........dunno,.............guess they wont be doing whatever it was they did anymore though.

doorknob, maybe your neighbor tried to shift gears on the go.......I've never tried it but when you shift gears the parking brake comes on while the tranny is between gears

I don't think it matters as far as far as changing into road mode but the thing I can't figure out is why you can't do it on the move. I can't remember for sure what happens if you push the button while moving but I think you get a minor alarm in the monitor.

We got a new 7010 this year. If you push the road button when moving you will not get the top speed until you stop and then go. shifting must be done while stopped it is the same as a cr. Neighbour has 2 cr's and last year a hired man tried to shift gears when he powering out on a hill and locked up the transmission. They had to put a tractor on the front pulling with a bit of tension and the mechanic was somehow able to pop the shift pin out.

and as for the pto we had filter blockage light come on. changed filter didn't help dealer came out and changed filter and sensor done 300 acres and no trouble. but we have had trouble with the header creeping down and the monitor touch screen not responding to the touch. dealer ordered a new valve and monitor we are down with rain so hoping they will get it fixed in the next day or two.

I have about 250 hours on my 7010 so far with not one glitch. It is a monster in corn! Haven't got to the good stuff yet but it will eat 130-160 bu dryland like there isn't anything in it. Mine goes 23.2 mph down the road with the highway switch turned on. 18.5 mph when you forget to turn it on. I don't know how fast you want to go but a couple of mph isn't going to save you that much time!

One of our 7010's was having "road speed" issues, the unloading auger would bounce causing the combine to come out of road mode or not go into it at all limiting the top speed to about 17 mph, moving the auger out a bit then in before engaging road mode seems to work, I think the "in" sensor needs adjusting.
