Anyone have any experience with the 7010. I am thinking of trading for one but no dealer around here has one to demo. I will be running a 12 row corn head and 30 foot draper. Have heard that they may be short on horse power. Also has anyone run both the 7010 and 8010 and how do they compare.

The few 7010's running in this area are doing great so far. These machines are cutting 100bu barley/wheat, cutting all the straw pushing 30' 2020's, 3-4mph. What is setting the 7010 ahead of a 2588 in these conditions is the larger feederhouse. Feeding all that material up the throat is no longer the limiting factor, Deere used to kill CaseIh in this aspect. Cleaner sample than 2588 and nothing on the ground! Does what it is supposed to compared to 8010. Have not seen one in corn or beans yet.

if you are worried about trading right now wait a while. the 7010 is new and i have not seen it run in corn and beans which is what we run. let them work out the bugs!! case is working on new combines, 6010, 6510, and a 9010!! these may be a better step to these other combine series's. soon they are going to eliminate the 2000 series combines (2100, 2300, 2500). when these come out they will update the numbers and they will be known as 6020's, 7020's, ect.
