so when you open your side panel thats hanging down somewhere for you to see im guessing?

always had trouble getting the rotor to shift up by the service door by the cab on the 2388's after a year or so... i know thats common...

will this way work any better?

The rotor drive is nothing like an x120, its like a 2588 but beefed up more. Belt drive. Same feeder hookup as 8010, but can be retrofitted to old style. #80 roller chain for rock trap drive. 8010 style hydro handle, but 2588 cab. 8010 unload auger. Big tall bubble up auger, I think it folds down. 9L cummins. Grate built into the chopper pan. Whole new redesigned rear axle, heavy like the 8010s. only 32 years overdue.

Oh and about 100K overpriced.

The 7088 at the farm show has grain tank covers that folded from inside the cab and the bubble up auger folded down with the covers that are controled inside the cab. I believe that's available as an option in the U.S. I would think the auger with just extensions would also fold down. Surprised no new cab although the old cab is not really that bad. Saw that red leather see too, it was heated.

$100K over priced? I can expect it to be more, have to expect it with all those improvements. We can't expect something for nothing.

Glad to hear on cabin filter....i don't mind the one on a 2588 but its a pain to get out of that without just dusting the crap out of you....

I wonder how much more a 6088 will cost compared to this years 2588.

I heard on a run in wheat that the 7088 was outdoing a 7010 maybe it was 7020 on a wheat run...

Good source too....not just hear say.

Very nice machine - have one in the yard now.
Rotor drive system as jalopy stated is beefed up and looks massive.
The top deck where the unloader saddle sits is a lot more open so not as much trash build up.
Rear ladder looks great and is half the weight of the previous 88's.
Little flap lifts up under rear deck ladder where you take the sieves out (where that bolted in piece of steel is on earlier 88's).
Hole cut out with door on it to see shoe sieve when adjusting.
Under cover worklights and engine bay lights similar to **10 series.
Rear axle is heavier, but not as heavy looking as the **10 series (when extended out) will see?
Cabin air filter - bout time. Fully sealed unit - hope it works well.
New A-post really looks good and is user friendly
New airscreen set-up - 6th model year change in a row - hope this one works.
There's lots more - feel free to ask or just wait until you see one.
