have just finished wheat harvest in Australia with a new 7088 400 rotor hours, very happy with the machine. Had to adjust rotor cage veins to get capacity, has anyone else experienced this as it was a bit different than a 2588.

We also had to adjust viens in our 7088's, also had to put large wire rear concave in wheat and durum (never did this with 2588) 399 engine hours on both 7088's, were excellent and very impressed with capacity.

I was having rotor loss in wheat, it seemed with the more HP of the 7088's I was pushing too much product through too quickly, and standing the viens up slowed it down enough and allowed more revolutions to separate. I also was running the concaves as tight as they would go, with the rotor at 1050 RPM. The large wire concaves helped more than adjusting the viens, but both reduced the rotor loss.

RGP. Do you know the reason why you have to adjust rotor settings compared to previous 88 models. We were running a small wire and two large, the first six veins over concaves in slow position and the last three over grates in the fast position. We have never had to adjust the veins from the middle position before with previous 21 to 2588 models and these changes doubled the capacity, was hopeless without these adjustments.
Does anyone know the setup for the 7088's in rice with a small tube rotor and will be using a 25ft macdon, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
