Last night my 7120 developed a load squealing noise in feederhouse. Chain is in adjustment and straight. Couldn't feel any warm bearings. Anyone experience this? 410 engine hrs. 350 sep.hrs.
There are scrapers on top drive shaft near the sprockets that are supposed to prevent wrapping in viny crops. These are probably rubbing, and can be bent away from the shaft some.
I'd try to do it without heating, if possible, can't remember what combination of tools it takes to get in there, probably a good pipe wrench and long pry bar or such.
Found the trouble. The top shaft has a 1/8" wobble. Removed the two center scrapers and flatten them out with a hammer. The wobble seems to be worst in the morning and at night. [ Strange] I notice the drawbolts moving more. Is anyone else having this trouble?
