My 7120 has worn a hole in the cone in front of the rotor cage. I haven't talked to a mechanic directly, but it sounds like this is built into the machine and must be patched in place. The machine has about 750 separator hours.

How have you accessed this area, and how have you patched the hole?

Left side, right side, top, or bottom? I would suspect it is the right side just in front of the concave?
A new cone will most likely fix it.

A new cone will fix the problem then. Just not enough room to weld a patch in.
