My 2012 7230 has developed a very loud noise at the feederhouse gearbox. I pretty sure that's wjere it's coming from. Non stone trap. Drained oil tonight and magnetic plug had metal shavings on it and the oil had dark stuff in it. What am I looking for here? Bearings or gears? Any suggestions where to start looking in the morning be great.
On a side note I changed the pto gear box oil and book says holds 54ltr for non 4wd machine but could only get about 30ltr drained out and then refilled. Even with the charge filter changed. Book didn't say to open any other taps... Is the book wrong with the volume or did I miss something?

Thanks in advance

Never mind. Worked out it was one of the 2 bearings just before the gearbox. Pretty relieved it was that instead of a rather expensive looking gearbox. Bearing was so load it sounded like a bevel gear.
