If the LH lock collar is not doing its job of gripping the shaft, it can put extra stress on the RH side. Also bent shaft or worn shaft can cause the failure as well. Make sure the belts are lining up properly and the shaft hasn't worked over one way or the other. Make sure you get the shaft centered and don't lock the collar with the shaft on a bind.

Also inspect the area directly under the shaft near the bearing housing. The main fuel line runs underneath and the shaft may have contacted it when the bearing failed.( rubbed on it) Also if the shaft is to be replaced, replace left bearing also as long as its apart
