having trouble with 7720 unloading. this summer replaced cross augers & bearings, installed stainless trough liners, replaced vert. auger & housing, added poly flights (1 pitch) to each end of horizontal unload, and new horizontal tube. Worked like a charm in corn, but smoked belts on the first bin of beans. Tightened belt tension, still squalled belts but did unload a few bins. Sheared the bolt on RH side several times. Got so bad that we would only put in about 30 bu. then unload. Beans are dirty due to lodging and fire ant mounds. Last rain out we pulled vert. auger and replaced the two bottom bearings and shaft due to finding up and down play in the vert. shaft at bevel gear. Thought it was fixed. Picked abt. 50. bu. and same problem. Today we pulled the vert. to horiz. gearbox, found some significant wear on the vert. shaft splines, ordered shaft and bearings. Hope this will correct, but am desperate for ideas. the shear bolt always shears as soon as we start to unload, Horizontal auger never gets grain. HELP!!!

If you horizontal auger never gets grain then the problem has to be in the elbow. Either the timing is off, vert auger is not pushing far enough, or horizontal is not pulling properly. Had a 9600 this year with the front 4" of horiz. auger flighting pushed back. It wasn't that obvious until you had a good look at it but just wouldn't quite pull the grain out of the elbow fast enough and shear pin would break, similar symptoms to yours.
