our 7730 started running like a toilet yesterday and a code came up saying low turbo speed . after inspecting the turbo I found that sure enough it was seized ....WTF! it has about 4000hrs and needless to say this is disappointing but tears are not going to do any good . just wondering if any body else has had turbo failures on these series of tractors .

I know this is unrelated to your problem but our neighbor had the turbo fall off of his 2013 JD 6170R twice in the last 500 hours. I think it has about 1200 hours on it now.
