I'm going to look at a 1680, 4WD, duals, no heads with 8000 hours. It has new parts everywhere - augers, rasp bars, rotor, cummins engine, belts and chains. It sounds like a very well maintained machine.

If a 1680 with 4000 hours sells for $30K what would you think the high hours should do to the price? Is it really possible to keep replacing parts indefinitely? Can the transmission, hydraulic pump, etc hold up for this many hours and more?

One of my land lords has a 1680 with over 6,000 on it still runs, well did last year. Just look it over real close. Id say with a bunch of new parts it and depending on overall condition, should bring around 20k.
