We had alot of problems with our 06 8010 rads plugging. Sometimes blew them out 5 times a day. How are the 07'
s running?
New display working good?
Any other issues?
If you are talking about the 600 pro you will not be disappointed, that I can assure you. In my area, and I would feel many others, it is too early to tell how the 07's are running. Unless you want to know how well they move from the truck to the shed.
WCJ- if your 8010 is plugging the rad you may need the fine rotary screen option that is available if you have the standard coarse screen.
I would check the seal first though I had the rotary screen not centered and as a result not sealing properly leading to plugging. Make sure your screen is centered properly in the housing. The seal must touch 360 degrees all the way around any gap and it will plug the rad.
The rubber seal is a maintenance item if you look in the operators manual. It has to be checked for potential replacement annually along with the yellow tape strip.
The 2007 I have seen looks the same as the 05/06 design.
I just put my new 7010 in the shed the other day and noticed the air screen is direct drive right off the crank shaft. There is a v-belt that goes around the air screen to turn it. I don't remember seeing this on the 8010 we demo'd 2 years ago or on the machines we have looked at at farm shows. Is this new?
this is new. Our 2006 model was horrible - we plugged 5-6 times a day. Crawl up top and blow it out, just so 2 hrs later you can do it all over again!
We replaced the rubber seal, added more rollers, changed to fine screen (which made it worse, not sure why??).
Looking forward to the 600 display!
had a lot of stuff on my 8010 to b*tch about but never the radiator I might have cleaned it 2 times in 3 years check how your spreader is running you might be throwing trash up to high. 7010 radiator and engine compartment is like a CR
used a 600 pro on a 1250 24row this spring and it was awesome. alot easier to see in all conditons and has more lines plus a border on left side with even more info. and still very user friendly. loved it and looking forward to having it in 7010.
