The standard factory setup sucks for corn. You need at least 4 straight bars on the rear of the rotor. This year I put 8 on my 7010 and in 28% corn at 230 bpa I can't find any corn on the ground. I am running an 8 row head. Maybe an 8010 with a 12 row head would only need 4 straight bars. I tried everything with the factory rotor setup and could not get the rotor loss down to what my 2388 could do. The straight bars have a huge rotor loss improvement in corn. I put the rear vanes in fast position for beans and the power consumption was not much worse than the factory setup.
