Disconnect waste gate hose and plug off.... So know air is being bypassed, should take care of some black smoke

With it smoking in he morning and clearing up, you have to have an issue..
As it warms up does the pump get weak?? Does the fuel pressure when its hot read the same as when its cold?

Wouldn't u just be able to check boost pressure on screen to know if was getting bypassed?

Got a 8010 doing same thing we put injectors in it new fuel pump new sensors checked timing still nothing and no power so I put a chip on it and now she runs like a raped ape

If your waste fate is incorrectly set it could be bypassing air that would be normally going to motor

Our 9120 was gutless for some time as well. We found that the air to air was running high compared to what the computer wanted to see. If it runs over 150 the computer cuts the power dramatically. If that is the case you can PM me and I will tell you how to fix it.

I say that seems to be part of it.. You have to have an air issue, the computer must be kicking in after the morning and derating it..
The smoke is from over fueling and not getting enough air.
The chip just changed the computers derating. Motors now a days should never smoke.. They are programmed not to.. Like ur air is plugged but it has to be a sensor issue some how..

I've had 2 issues with power. First one a pinched fuel lined going up beside the tank. Second one was fluff plugging the air intake before the air got to the filter.

How's the engine temp? We had a thermostat stick open in our 8120 for a whole week so it ran cold and retarded the fuel injection and had a lot of smoke.

Check boost air temp/pressure sensor. It is a combination sensor, easiest way to test it is to swap it out with one from another machine. They will be really lazy and possibly not through a code.

I'm having lots of trouble with my 1680.. While running most of the time uphill. It will bog down... Almost like it's over loaded but I know it isn't... It eventually pulls out of it and won't have a problem for a while... I'm clueless

We had some issues in the past that the rubber elbow at bottom of intake would collapse and restrict airflow. This in s the one that's in the ducting back in engine compartment between engine and grain tank.thats the big black one with that's about 4" ID or so

....the one where Case says put metal hose clamps around it so it can't collapse?!? Yeah I loved that fix on a brand new half million dollar combine.... Causes us a lot of heartache and much down time. I'm sure you'll be shocked that pipe is now made of metal....

No, not that one. Not familiar with the problem you describe.
