I am looking at two different combines, same hours. One is a 2010 model one is a 2009. Is there any updates that the 10 might have that the 09 would not. The 09 has more of the features that I want, but I realized that was the first year of the 8120. Any suggestions?

2010 should have the updated air cleaner system unless the 09 fell in the right serial number break.Nice update to have.

The air cleaner update should have been done for free by the dealer already.

Have a 2009 in the shed ,bought it new does not fall into the serial number break.They will not put the kit on.Have tried several times but no success.

Not sure but think a post on here talks about all changes between the years. 2010 had some changes from 2009. My dealer also did air cleaner update on 2010 for free. It's worth it.

If that combine is from the states it will not have the update I think that was only a canadian update

Take a look at the rethrasher. The bearings on the center paddle like to go out. That's really the only mechanical problem I have had. I have had some wire rubbing problems. The hard plastic loom will rub through the wire covering.
