looking at a 8230 running 8 row chopping head. will this combo work or is the 8230 to big

last year saw a 8120 with 8 rows chopping header the engine was a 10.9 vs 12.9 l on 8230 but the sieve was the same ,and he put corn concave and small grain sieve and it work good in soybeans and corn,

I wouldn't recommend it. I run 12 rows chopping geringhoff with my 8120 and my friend run 16 rows non chopping. It would work on 8 rows but it'll very hard on fuel for not much. 8 rows works great with class 6 or class 7 with chopping head. If you find a 7010, it'll be better on fuel and on an 8 rows, you won't notice the difference
