I got 1000 hrs on my 8335rt and I noticed the rubber is starting to come off the midrollers. This is my first tracked tractor, but I would think they should last a lot longer then 1000hrs. Any thoughts.

I am not too familiar with the green ones, but I have an MT875 Challenger that has around 4000hrs and idler wheels are all fine. Do the new Deere's have bogie movement on these wheels, or are they fixed on a bar like the earlier ones? If they are fixed, I can see a lot of stress being put on them if run over a rock or such. Might cause some rubber failure maybe.

We had a 865B Cat with rubber covered bogie wheels & had no problems. Bought a 865C with silicone covered ? bogie wheels (they told me the silicone ones have less rolling resistence) but are a pos. Already lost 4 in 500 hrs. & they are expensive to replace.

The local JD dealer up here send them to a company in Toowoomba to get them re coated with the same sort of material as the extreme ones you can order from JD, they run an exchange type setup, I think it was going to cost about $300 per roller vs $750 for a new one vs $1500 for an extreme one, they get to hot if your alignment is dicky and you get separation, track systems are expensive to own :hits-the-fan:
