no you need a 9700 series header the 9000 series is off of the 800 series combines and were driven from the top and the mountings to the feeder were completely different. I've seen guys modify IH and JD header mounts and use these on MF rotary combines

5100 sounds expensive$? I figured the 9024 wouldn't work. I just saw it on Kijiji the other day. I would like to find out what john deere headers work. Lots of those around. Massey stuff is hard to find in our neck of the woods.

I had a 9024 on my 8570 when we still had it. It seemed to work fine. The combine had a adaptor on the feeder house that was chain drive from the bottom drive up to a standard 800 series coupler up top that caused a little trouble. I was always going to convert the head to bottom drive with a couple u-joints and a long pto shaft but never did.
