Hey everyone. I have a vibration coming from the traction drive on my 860 when it is sped right up. I have replaced the belts and balanced the bottom pulley. It is better but still have a vibration at high speed. Wondering if the pressure plate is balanced or should be balanced. Would appreciate any suggestions or solutions from anyone who has had this problem.

Thanks for the responses. The vibration only occurs when the variable speed is sped right up, and I rebuilt the middle pulley last year as I thought that was the problem. The vibration is not coming from the output shaft as it runs smooth with no belts. This is why I think it's still coming from the bottom. I noticed on the pressure plate that a small piece of shaft was welded on it for a weight I'm assuming. Wondering if that is normal or someone else did that.

With the engine off grab the traction belts & pull up & down to see how much slop there is on the splines & drive hub on the output shaft or broken off pilot shaft on the output shaft which causes the drive/flex plate to fail. From there it is probably the variator hub & or belts.
