Was wondering how money it would take to rebuild an 8780, ballpark figure. All new augers, new clean grain and return chains. Pulling out the rotor and rebuilding the front cone area and putting new concaves in. New feeder house chain and gears.
We would be doing most of the work ourselves.
The combine is in good shape, just some augers are getting a little sharp. We mainly cut wheat, but the 2 years we have had some good milo, and put some bushels thru the machine.

A good place to look for auger flighting is Schmidt Machine in Ohio. They are a major Agco/Massey dealer and manufacture auger parts for all color machines. I have replaced most auger on my 8780 with theirs. I am replacing horizontal auger in bottom of grain bin this winter Dealer Agco price is $1226.00 with no hardened edge Schmidt Machine price $421.00 with hardened extra wear package on flighting.
