new fuel filters and new lift pump and after priming system it will start and run for about 4 minutes than die. Manually refill fuel filters and prime system and than it will start and run again for about 4 minutes than die. Tried blowing out fuel lines but didn't help. Any ideas? (fuel tank is full)

Are the filters empty of feul when it stops ?
When you manually refill filters do you just mean hand prime ?
Do the fergys have a in tank screen on pick up ?
Did it run fine before filter change ?

Yes filters are empty when it stops. We take off filters and refill them manually and then with hand pump prime system. All 3 filters have been changed. Could not get it started and that's why we changed filters in first place. Going to run new fuel line from tank to lift pump to see if that helps.

Well I would guess its pulling air in if filters are empty, even if you just run a meter of hose into a jerry can of feul, that way you will know pump is working. Does sound like ruptured line or the line is fully blocked inside tank.
The old jd had a screen in the tank, it protects the filters of large particles but you can't clean it without feul pissing out of tank , better off replacing it with small brass riser.

I have seen faulty filters allow air in, but not leak. Had a truck once that would not start until you primed it - guy finally told me he had just installed new filters. Told the guy to go get a new set of filters again, changed them, then it worked fine.

If it has an electric lift pump, check for flow by taking the line off the pump and rerouting back into tank with a clear tube. Run it for 5 minutes or so while watching flow.

If no obvious problems at the fuel tank screen check the injection pump return overflow valve make sure the spring in it is not broken.
A piece of crud or broken return spring in the overflow valve will cause these exact problems.
Start with the fuel line first make sure you have good fuel flow up to the lift pump.
Put new hose on and pressurize the fuel tank at the filler with air hose cover with hand and a rag leave lift pump hose connection off fuel should flow very readily with a full tank.

Thank you for responses. Found the problem. The fuel line from the tank filter to engine is mainly a steel line but 1 1/2 foot of hose on each end. Replaced the hose lines and problem was solved. They looked ok but must have been collapsing and cutting off fuel supply. Simple fix but frustrating trying to find the issue.
